Pivotal Crossings
Embracing Life's Transitions/Losses

Meet Rita

Life sometimes just happens, I had five major loses—three close family deaths, becoming an empty-nester, and a husband losing his job through downsizing.  Going through these losses was frustrating and I felt very unclear.  Also, I had three other major losses in my young life. But, as time passed, all parts of my work came together.  I began identifying the strengths I brought to my clients and clarifying my true path.

  • I have the ability to connect to all people while respecting their gifts, talents, and skills.
  • I intuitively can be the voice for authentic communication and speak client’s truth in a loving fashion.
  • I have come to view healing after a loss as a powerful force on finding a deeper sense of courage and hope within individuals for the future.
  • I realize the importance of never taking anything for granted, being fully present in any situation, and finding beauty in the moment.

Nothing stays the same. Knowing who we are and our core values and beliefs gives us the ability to enjoy the journey of life.

My education and training are as follows:

My diverse career life has been made up of many building blocks.

  • I looked for new jobs based on what skills I could learn from the opportunity to take to the next job.
  • In my early 30’s I was asked to write my personal mission statement, which had in it “to help all people be all they can be.”
  • I held on to this mission knowing that what was happening to me was going to add to my business when it started taking off.

After working for a number of organizations—business, education, social service, healthcare, and developing a Leadership Institute for a local University I knew it was time for me to go on my own and passionately live my mission. I was coaching clients who were experienced leaders and dealing with family and life issues and realized I had a great deal of passion around this type of coaching.  This led me to a huge transition in my life.  I decided to leave the University and evolve my passion into a business.  I have now been coaching for almost ten years.

I knew the name of my business must reflect the essence of my service.  It had to connect with each person no matter where they were in the process of loss. I named my business Pivotal Crossings – Embracing Life’s Transitions and Losses.
